’26 QB Edward Jordan ready to lead Beachside into junior year

2026 athlete Edward Jordan, a Colorado native, began his high school career in Maryland where he joined a loaded St. Frances team, originally training to become a piece in the Panthers’ future secondary.

“I trained with Justin [Winters] as a defensive back when I was real young,” Jordan told IBG. But the chance to flip sides of the ball and line up as a quarterback has been a dream for the 6-foot, 185-pound athlete ever since youth ball. “I always love contact. I could always throw it but in youth ball, the coach’s son was the quarterback so I never got a chance to throw it,” he recalled.

That led Jordan to team up with Denny Thompson, founder of Six Points Training Academy in Jacksonville and trainer for Colts QB Anthony Richardson and Eagles QB Garnder Minshew among others. “They’ve been training a lot of top-level guys and I’ve been coming to them since I was 11, 12.”

Now in year four in his journey as a quarterback, Jordan has emerged as one of north Florida’s top quarterbacks after showcasing his dual-threat ability as a sophomore. Jordan completed over 65% of his passes while throwing for over 2,500 yards and 35 touchdowns. “My coach is from California so he likes to put the ball in the air, so just let it fly,” Jordan added. “This offseason I focused a lot on speed and explosiveness, shoot for some bigger runs.”

Boston College became the first school to throw their hat into the ring after Aazaar Abdul Rahim, then the Eagles’ defensive coordinator, kicked off Jordan’s recruitment heading into his sophomore season, but that would be the first of several. Georgia Tech jumped into the mix the following month while Houston and Charlotte offered last fall and UNLV, Western Michigan and Georgia Southern extended offers this summer. “I showed out at the Wake Forest camp and Coastal Carolina, but I didn’t do much camping. I just want to put it on film and get it out like that.”

Jordan was able to kick off his junior season with a 21-0 win against Atlantic Coast on Friday night after leading Beachside to a 9-1 finish last fall.

“I just feel like I’m a hidden gem. I’m obsessed with the game. I love film, just learning how to be a quarterback. I have the arm talent on a high level.”
