The Big Ten ended weeks of waiting after officially releasing the conference schedules for the 2024-25 college basketball season on Thursday night.
Just like the men, Maryland women's basketball will open its conference road slate vs. Purdue before kicking off the home portion of its schedule on Dec. 29 vs. Michigan State. Ohio State marks the only opponent that Maryland will see twice during Big Ten play.

After finishing 19-14 (9-9) a season ago, head coach Brenda Frese will have experience to lean on in her 23rd season with the program with All-Big Ten honorees Shyanne Sellers and Bri McDaniel leading the way. In addition to a trio of freshmen – including Ava McKennie, sister of former Maryland OL Ellis McKennie – Frese turned to the transfer portal to reload the roster in transfers Christina Dalce (Villanova), Amari DeBerry (UConn), Mir McLean (UConn/Virginia), Isimenme Ozzy-Momodu (Gulf Coast State), Saylor Poffenbarger (Arkansas/UConn), Kaylene Smikle (Rutgers) and Sarah Te-Biasu (VCU).
