Bud Light debuts new Maryland Terrapins limited edition beer

Bud Light has announced a limited-edition Maryland Terrapins packaging and product ahead of this weekend's home opener.

The limited edition packs are now available for fans of legal age to purchase at participating retailers in Maryland.


“College football fans are some of the most passionate, dedicated fans out there and we are so proud to partner with teams across the country to make all of the special gameday moments even easier to enjoy,” said Todd Allen, SVP Marketing, Bud Light, via release. “As a passionate college football fan himself, Shane was the perfect partner to connect to our college football audience with his distinct style of humor. And it doesn’t hurt that he loves a Bud Light or two

on gameday.”

 

Additionally, Bud Light is teaming up with comedian and college football fanatic, Shane Gillis for a new TV commercial “The Dean's Office,” which will debut on August 31. The new commercial will serve as the beginning of a series that will roll out throughout the college football season with Shane, a creative brand partner for Bud Light, to make the season even easier to enjoy for 21+ fans.



Maryland has previously announced its partnership with UNION Craft Brewing to launch Testudo Premium Lager, the official craft beer of the Maryland Terrapins.


“Partnering with UNION Craft Brewing is a perfect union,” Maryland Athletics’ Executive Athletic Director/Chief Strategy Officer Brian Ullmann said via release. “Co-founded and operated by a Maryland alum, Adam Benesch, who is passionate about his alma mater, we are thrilled to offer Testudo Premium Lager to all of Terp Nation, at our events and across the DMV.”
