Maryland basketball is down to just one commitment in the 2025 class.
Four-star forward Marcus Jackson has decommitted from Maryland, leaving four-star Chris Jeffrey as the lone commitment for Maryland basketball and head coach Kevin Willard this cycle.
Jeffrey, who transferred from John Marshall (VA) to Prolific Prep (AZ) then Word of God (NC) ahead of his senior season, committed to Maryland after his official visit back on Sept. 6 after head coach Kevin Willard and assistant Greg Manning Jr. cut the four-star’s visit schedule short. Jackson committed to Maryland over Auburn among others. Maryland is still expected to be in the mix.
He stays on my recruitment for Maryland,” Jackson told IBG at the time. “Me and coach Manning, I’ve never had a complaint or anything bad to say about him. He does a really good job keeping up with me and he’s a really good guy.”
Marcus Jackson is rated a three-star prospect and 88 overall by On3, checking in as the nation’s 44th-best power forward.
