Maryland will have a third player at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine in February as wide receiver Kaden Prather has received his invite after exhausting his eligibility.
Prather will join wide receiver Tai Felton and defensive back Dante Trader Jr. at Lucas Oil Stadium beginning February 27 as he and Felton look to become the first Maryland receivers drafted since DJ Moore became a first-round pick in 2018.
After spending two seasons at West Virginia, Prather became an immediate contributor for Maryland’s offense after finishing with at least two catches in all but three of his 25 appearances with the program. His first career 100-yard receiving game came during the comeback win vs. USC as he also posted a career-high nine catches, while he posted 98 receptions, 1,290 receiving yards and nine touchdowns during his two-year career.
Prather previously announced his accepted invitation to the Shrine Bowl where defensive back Glen Miller and defensive lineman Jordan Phillips are also expected to suit up. Maryland has had at least one player at the Shrine Bowl in each of the last three years after Tarheeb Still (’23), Taulia Tagovailoa (’23), Gottlieb Ayedze (’23), Ja’Quan Sheppard (’23) and Chigoziem Okonkwo (’22) all previously suited up.
Prather was the lone Terp projected to land in The 33rd Team’s latest three-round mock draft, coming off the board with the 95th overall pick to the New York Jets.
