Maryland men's lacrosse releases 2025 schedule

After their Cinderella run in the 2024 NCAA tournament fell short of a national championship with a 14-5 loss to Notre Dame, Maryland men's lacrosse and head coach John Tillman have shifted their focus to the 2025 season. Thanks to a loaded incoming freshman class, the top transfer class in the country, and several returning starters, there is a lot of optimism surrounding the program as the Terps will take on a very similar schedule from last year in the program's 100th season.

Overall, the Terps will only face one team they did not face last season when they host the Delaware Blue Hens out of the Colonial Athletic Conference. The site against common opponents from the 2024 season have been flipped for 2025 with the lone exception being the rematch against Notre Dame, which is set for March 1 at Bobby Dodd Stadium in Atlanta Georgia.

The Terps home slate is made up of games against Richmond on February 1st, Syracuse on February 15th, Delaware on March 8th, Michigan on March 22nd, Penn State on March 29th, and their rivals Johns Hopkins on April 18th.

The Terps will travel to their games at Loyola on February 8th, at Princeton on February 22nd, Notre Dame in Atlanta on March 1st, at Virginia March 15th, at Rutgers April 5th, and at Ohio State April 12th.

Like usual, the Terps have a very loaded schedule. The Terps will be facing seven teams that made the NCAA tournament last season in Syracuse, Princeton, Notre Dame, Virginia, Michigan, Penn State, and Johns Hopkins, as well as two teams who made their conference tournament games but would end up losing them in Delaware and Richmond.

The Terps will look to make it back to Memorial Day weekend for the fifth time in six seasons in 2025. And their quest to do so will start with their home matchup against the Richmond Spiders on February 1st. The game is set to face-off at noon EST. TV coverage for the game will be announced at a later date.
