Two days after four Terps suited up for the last time in college, WR Tai Felton and SAF Dante Trader Jr. are set to suit up in the Reese’s Senior Bowl today, Feb. 1. Kickoff is set for 2:30 PM on NFL Network at the University of South Alabama’s Hancock Whitney Stadium.

While clips from Trader’s one-on-ones in practice surfaced on social media, including one against Alabama and former Maryland TE CJ Dippre, it’s unsurprisingly been WR Tai Felton who has drawn ample attention this week.

The New England Patriots reportedly met with the Virginia native while Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin, whose son remains close friends with the former Maryland receiver, has “been in my ear” throughout the week.

“Coach Tomlin has been in my ear this whole time that I’ve been down here at the Senior Bowl. But he was checking in with me, checking on my blocking and stuff, and I met with him too so that was a cool meeting,” Felton told Steelers Depot.

Felton, who was selected to the 2024 AP and AFCA All-America teams, led the Big Ten in both receptions (96) and receiving yards (1,124) during the regular season. An Ashburn, Virginia native, Felton posted the most receptions among Power Conference players during the regular season and his 96 grabs set a new Maryland single-season record.

Trader led the Terps in solo tackles (37) and finished second on the team in total tackles (59), despite missing two games due to injury. His four pass breakups were also a team-high and he added one interception. Trader was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 16 for his 11 tackle, one-interception performance in a 27-13 Maryland win at Virginia.
