TV, kickoff time announced for Maryland's home game vs. Villanova

Maryland will face Villanova on Saturday, Sept. 21 for a 12 PM kickoff on the Big Ten Network, the conference announced on Monday.

This marks the 12th all-time matchup between the two teams and first since 2007 after Maryland defeated Villanova, 31-7. Maryland leads the all-time series, 9-2, thanks to nine consecutive wins as Maryland will look to secure its 14th consecutive non-conference win, marking the second-longest streak in the country.

Villanova, meanwhile, moved to 2-0 after dominating Colgate en route to a 28-3 win as they shift their attention to Towson at home this upcoming weekend. The Wildcats are coming off a 10-3 season that ended in the 2023 FCS quarterfinals, falling to eventual national champion South Dakota State, 23-12.

The matchup between Maryland and Villanova is also part of family weekend in College Park, the latest promotion through the 2024 season.

The Terps travel to Virginia (2-0) for their first road game of the season this Saturday. The game will kickoff at 8 p.m. and air on ACC Network. All Maryland football games can also be heard on the Maryland Sports Radio Network.
