Details for Maryland football’s next home game have been finalized as Rutgers will head to College Park on Saturday, Nov. 16. Kickoff is set for 6 PM on FS1.
With chances to secure wins five and six this season, the Nov. 16 home game might end up being the make-or-break game in the Terps’ chances to secure bowl eligibility.
Maryland has won three consecutive games vs. Rutgers, five of the last six, and seven of the ten matchups since the two teams joined the Big Ten. Since the loss in Piscataway back in 2017, Maryland has outscored Rutgers 130-47 in their three road matchups.
After being tabbed as the potential breakout team in the Big Ten heading into the season, head coach Greg Schiano has guided Rutgers through multiple key and season-ending injuries as the Scarlet Knights currently sit 4-4 (1-4), similar to Maryland. Rutgers has lost four consecutive games, including most recently a 42-20 loss at USC, as they’re coming off their final bye week of the season. Rutgers will host Minnesota this upcoming Saturday before heading to College Park.
Maryland, meanwhile, is coming off its second and final bye week as they head to Eugene to face top-ranked Oregon for a 7 PM kickoff on BTN. Maryland is 2-5 all-time against top-ranked opponents while this weekend marks the first-ever matchup vs. Oregon.
