Maryland returns to SECU Stadium on Saturday to wrap up non-conference play vs. Villanova, but kickoff time and TV coverage for the week five road game vs. Indiana have been announced by the Big Ten.
Maryland will face Indiana at noon on Saturday, Sept. 28 on the Big Ten Network.
Since joining the Big Ten, Maryland and Indiana have split the ten matchups while the Terps have won the last three games. Maryland also won the last matchup in Bloomington after QB Billy Edwards Jr replaced an injured Taulia Tagovailoa in the fourth quarter to storm back from a three-point deficit. Edwards’ 31-yard run would set the Terps up with the game-winning score before Roman Hemby punched in a touchdown, securing a 38-33 win.
Now led by first-year head coach Curt Cignetti, Indiana has opened the season strong after taking down FIU and Western Illinois before steamrolling UCLA, 42-13, this past weekend in their Big Ten opener. The Hoosiers have outscored opponents 150-23 to open the 2024 season.
Maryland is coming off a 27-13 win vs. Virginia to move to 2-1 and get back in the win column, riding four turnovers and a dominant second half to take down the ‘Hoos for the second time in as many seasons.
