Both USA Today and CBS Sports project Duke as the one-seed set to face the winner of Maryland’s first round game, a trend that’s remained consistent through the season. ESPN’s latest bracketology could serve as a chance for head coach Kevin Willard’s team to avenge the first loss of the season after Marquette dropped to a three-seed in the same region with a first-round matchup vs. Jacksonville State.

Meanwhile, Maryland remains in fourth in the Big Ten standings with tiebreakers over both Wisconsin and UCLA thanks to the head-to-head win. They’re set to face Ohio State on Thursday, who will look to get back to .500 in conference play while moving to 14-9 overall and 9-4 at home. Thursday’s game is ranked the second-toughest remaining game on Maryland’s schedule with ESPN’s matchup predictor giving the Buckeyes a 56.4% chance to win.
